Self
Leveling
GBL construction offers a variety of self leveling underlayments including Ardex. We are Ardex LevelMaster Elite Installers backed and warranted by Ardex.
Floor topping, moisture mitigation, and precision leveling jobs are all within the spectrum of GBL's ability when utilizing the proper Ardex product.
Moisture
Mitigation
Concrete slabs often emit large quantities of moisture. Moisture prevents proper bonding of floor toppings to the substrate. Moisture mitigation/remediation is a viable remedy to excessive moisture emission. GBL can properly prepare a concrete slab, apply the moisture mitigation coating, and pour the required topping of self-leveling product in as little as a few days. Some products offered by GBL are approved for 100% RH readings.

Sound-Mat
Underlayment
Sound Attenuation
Sound insulating systems greatly reduce impact noise transfer between floors and stop flanking sound. This can be extremely important in the construction of multi-family buildings, hotels/motels, and dormitories. The system consists of the installation of a sound mat onto the floor, a perimeter isolation material is installed around the seam between floor and wall, and then a topping of gypsum underlayment is poured. Generally, LevelRock 2500 is the preferred underlayment to be used, however is not a requirement. Many other underlayments that GBL offer will work.
